An account of our uni-hoc game
by the pupils in PVT class
We had a game of uni-hoc today. The players on the Green team were Katie, Adam, Danielle, Liese and Danielle. Danielle was the captain. And the players on the orange team were Síodhona, Mikie, Nathan, Alex and Aoife.
Alex was the captain. The green team wore green bibs and the orange team wire orange bibs.
We sat on the bench for a team photograph. Brenda was the referee. She had a whistle around her neck. She blew the whistle to start the game. Nathan and Katie were the goalies at the beginning. Alex scored the first goal. All his team cheered and said “Well done”. Adam scored the next goal. We all did our best. At half time we took a break. The score at half time was 2 goals each. It was a draw. We had team chat and a little rest. The goalies for the second half were Síodhona and Danielle.
There were lots of goals in the second half. It was exciting!!!
At the end Nathan fouled Katie. Katie fell down. The referee blew the whistle. Katie got a free. It was a penalty.
At the end the referee blew the whistle because time was up. The score was 7 goals each. It was a draw. We all shook hands. We were tired but it was good exercise and great fun. When we came back to class we had some refreshments- a big glass of orange!!!
